Job Description

The IT Manager is directly responsible for the effective implementation, daily operation, maintenance, user access, user support and security of all technology hardware, software data, IT- related standards and procedures, compliance reporting, IT capital and expense budgeting/planning, and IT Service contract management at the location.

Assist in improving customer service of individual guest and groups. Ensure external service providers are meeting service level agreements with all guests-facing technologies. Implement and ensure compliance to all IT-related brand initiatives and standards. Analyze system problems and assist in the problem resolution. Assist, provide procedures and train the operation for out-of-office support with basic trouble shooting and problem resolution procedures. Lead technical resolution of guest-facing system delivery service delivery management. Ensure all guest-facing systems are supported internally and externally as appropriate.

Perform basic troubleshooting and support of all systems, engage external support vendors as appropriate and manage system service levels. Ensure appropriate and timely management of IT contracts, support and licensing including managing service level agreements. Provide 24x7 on call duties as required. Coordinate all activities, operations, user support and running of IT. Monitor and evaluate on-site technology support requirements. Ensure appropriate environmental controls of all data processing facilities. Maintain relationships with system vendors. Evaluate requests for system enhancements. Ensure adherence to all IT-related operational and brand standards. Manage IT capital and expense budget planning for the location. Review and approve all IT equipment and software purchases and participate in Company-negotiated purchasing, pricing and licensing programs as appropriate. Provide effective communication and collaboration on the technology needs of the location. Provide clear project and change management programs, conversion and training schedules and effective post-implementation training. Manage and motivate any subordinate staff.

Ensure secure IT operations by implementing and managing all systems to the Global information Security Policies, Divisional IT Policies/Procedures and Internal Controls. Manage administrative user access rights and restrictions in all systems. Perform periodic access audits and take immediate corrective action as necessary. Directly responsible to develop, maintain and test Contingency and Disaster Recovery plans, and maintain and verify data back up integrity and verify restoration tests. Ensure all IT requirements and electronic data protection, privacy, retention and destruction requirements are met according to Company IT Policies; report barriers and recommendations to local and IT Management.

Bachelor degree or higher perform


Ability to focus and maintain attention to performance of tasks and work completion on time despite frequent interruptions. Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

Basic understanding of IT user support and trouble shooting methods. Proficiency in mainstream PC desktop applications with effective use of internet technology and services. Strong understanding of MS Office applications, both use and ability to advise others.

Minimum of two years in management or supervisory position responsible for the on-going operation of Information Technology/Systems.

Previous hospitality IT experience, knowledge of central reservations systems, networking, additional IT certifications.

Understanding of the hospitality business and the application of Information Technology, familiarity with hospitality technology applications a plus.
