A very well respected Hong Kong real estate and hotel group with brands in the luxury market seeks an experienced Development expert who “can hit the road running”.

My client asked for a “closer” someone who can not only make introductions, but also help finalize the purchase and management agreements.  This is a boutique group, so you can take the project from lead to final signature. 

This role can be based in Singapore, but preferably in Hong Kong.  A Mandarin speaker is a big plus, but not mandatory

The Head of Development will help lead the expansion of the group and will be integral to the implementation of the development strategy for the group’s expansion in SE and NE Asia.  They will not be responsible for China.  You must have a proven track record in development in SE Asia within an International hotel company, spanning city centers, long term stay and luxury resorts. 

The desired candidate is likely to possess a University degree in Hotel Administration or Business Administration, a minimum of 7 years’ experience in hospitality development or related experience.  Familiarity with the capital markets is an added advantage.

Expertise in hotel feasibility and valuation, management contract negotiation, real estate finance, acquisition and general hotel development experience and understanding of development patterns and

of the hospitality sector are critical characteristics.

As an integral member of the company’s executive team, the candidate must be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and exemplify the highest standards of honesty, integrity and discretion.

The package will match the individual’s passion and history in development, plus expat terms.
