Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City, requires a professional, responsible, pro-active service oriented individuals who believe in keeping promises and delivering the same with an attitude of Yes I Can! and Z-factor for the position of Sales Manager - Leisure & Pharma for our Sales & Marketing Department.

Overview of Role:

To maximize hotel revenue and guest satisfaction by negotiating group business and coordinating the execution of group business with other departments in accordance with the sales business plan. The job incumbent should be active, proactive and achive results. All work is carried out in line hotel's guidelines and sales business plan, and Radisson Blu corporate guidelines and service concepts.

Main responsibilities:

Achieves budgeted goals by executing sales activities within assigned market segment 
  • Assists in the development of annual sales goals 
  • Uses outside sales calls to generate new business from local corporates 
  • Conducts on-site client inspections and entertainment weekly
  • Contracts in-house guests to foster additional business, repeat bookings or referrals to other Carlson Rezidor hotels 
  • Coordinates activities related to booked business with other departments 
  • Increases sales volume and profitability by assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas as stated in the hotel marketing plan 
  • Develops and plans special sales activities and promotions 
  • Conducts market analysis to determine guests' needs, occupancy potential, desired rates etc.
  • Prepares accurate forecasts as requested 
  • Keeps Sales department informed of group booking status
  • Ensures all reservations are tracked correctly for statistical purposes 
  • Follows up on commissions and other fees paid
Personal requirements:
  • Dynamic, outgoing and result oriented sales person 
  • Good communication and social skills 
  • Good team player
  • Flexible and co-operative
  • Active selling and fighting the competition in the market 
  • To have a strategic view and good understanding of the hotel business in general 
  • Knowledge of the local market would be an asset 
  • Previous experience in a similar position is required
  • Fluent English both written and spoken 
  • Experience with Opera would be an advantage
