Food and Beverage Director West Africa Coast French Speaking
A role for proven, highly organised Food and Beverage Directors with a creative style and strong operational Food and Beverage background. Experience of working in Africa would be an advantage, but not essential. Recognised 4/5 star hotel training supported by a credible management record in high quality hotels within Europe has been requested. Fluent spoken and written French and English will be necessary.
This is a hands-on role with lots of rewarding challenges in a lovely property with terrific facilities. Outlets include restaurants, in-room dining, ocean front food and beverage / bar outlets with leisure area and busy volume conference and banqueting. The property is in immaculate condition and calls for a polished and very well presented Food and Beverage Manager to take charge.
We would like to hear from accomplished, French and English speaking Food and Beverage specialists with European working experience. You will be the face of the department and the mentor to a willing and able team. Your organisational skills and commercial acumen will have to be excellent.
Answering directly to the General Manager, you will take on the responsibility of every aspect of the operation and be highly organised to” pre-empt” the needs of the clients and the departments. It will be essential that your management style is high profile with your colleagues and with the clients.
Superb administrative skills, to include the management of Front Line Costs, writing of "SOP's" in real time to anticipate team responsibilities and guest needs are just some examples of what will be needed.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you will work closely with the General Manager and Executive Chef. For the right dynamic person, this will definitely offer excellent career progression with a respected international hotel company.
This is a difficult opportunity and will really need a hands-on person able to manage, work with and enthuse a willing team within the French African working culture. Although demanding on your skills, mental strength and personal dedication, this assignment is ideal for someone to make their mark in a key property and join a leading hotel group and progress to potentially become a GM.
