A major American Hotel Group who manages luxury properties and casinos in USA and the Caribbean seeks a Vice President, Creative Entertainment in the Miami, Florida area.
The primary responsibilities for the VP, Creative Entertainment are to lead and direct the Entertainment and Events department operations. This includes, but not limited to creating and executing a strategic plan to: develop brand and create entertainment concepts for all existing and new hotels, grow revenue and profit for the company; recruit, hire, develop, and retain top sales, service, and entertainment talent.
The ideal candidate will be a highly creative professional who understands and has created, planned and opened large types of events in the Entertainment business in environments like Disney World, Universal Studios, Cirque du Soleil, etc. Experience working in similar companies in Las Vegas, Orlando and other entertainment capitals would be what is wanted.
You must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment, maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to create new live entertainment concepts effectively, while handling multiple properties and meeting targeted deadlines.
Strong project management skills are required, along with the ability to perform a myriad of duties with diligence and attention to detail, and the ability to create a solid professional social network in the industry; locally, regionally, and internationally.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong working knowledge of new cutting edge entertainment concepts.
Salary: Based on experience (six figures)
