Job Description

60% of Time Spent

 Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems.
 Provide efficient and courteous service of beverages to all guests and ensure that guest expectations are met or exceeded.
 Maintain an awareness of products availability, product expiration dates and inventory levels to prevent stock-out situations.
 Maintains bar inventory in accordance with established standards and ensures that all shortages are reported.
 Ensures security of beverage stock in the bar using key control procedures.
 Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections as well as designated glassware, garnishes, preparation method/time, ingredients, portion sizes, presentation and prices.
 Maintain a good knowledge of the menu and be able to upsell and assist guests with menu items in an informative and helpful way.
 Prepare the mise en place of the bar and maintains the operating equipment to ensure smooth and efficient service.
 Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. .
 To be fully conversant with all Food and Beverage policies and procedures.
 Attend daily briefing and get a handover from the previous shift.
 Perform any other duties that may be assigned to him/her
 Reports and handles all complaints, concerns or special requests of guests.
 Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

30% of Time Spent

 Arranging operations for cleaning and tidying the bar
 Guaranteeing closing operations of the relevant cash desk
 Drafting and handing over the Bar and Dining room Par Stock Requisition

10% of Time Spent

 Respecting local health regulations
 Guaranteeing the respect of health standards
 Respecting behaviour guidelines
 Respecting the weekly planning
 Being present at one’s workplace at any time
 Respecting contract provisions, regulations and health and safety provisions
 Ensuring continuous information on service to the Assistant Manager


Education  High school or equivalent education required
Experience  Must have at least 6 months experience in the position
 More experience preferred
