Within the midst of this incredible and fast emerging destination, towering 225 metres high in the exclusive area of West Bay stands a new dimension in luxury, InterContinental Doha The City; an icon of modern architecture had opened the doors for the guests on 19 February 2012 and had set the standard in modern upscale accommodation for business and leisure travellers. (176 residence, 360 rooms, 7 F&B outlets, one Events Centre)


The Role 

As the Event Sales Manager at InterContinental Doha The City you will be responsible for significant participation in the achievement of business objectives and corporate strategies in the area of ​​event sales. Active selling of events and group bookings of the proposal and contract creation to invoicing. In collaboration with the Director of Events and the Director of Revenue who are responsible for the revision and active implementation of strategies, active monitoring of competitor developments in the market and own Initiative Development of tactics and strategies in order to maximize hotel sales.

 

You will also guide your team so that all the requirements in terms of quality, the statutory requirements are met and the Group directives and a maximum satisfaction of our guests and employees is achieved.



Required Skills/Qualifications:


 

  • High level of passion, enthusiasm and drive for results
  • 4 years experience in convention sales at managerial level in the international 5* luxury hotel or hospitality
  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums - presentation, telephone, correspondence, face to face etc. in English and also Arabic will be an advantage
  • Drive for results to outperform competition
  • Degree from a university or hotel school preferably in marketing or tourism/hospitality management
  •
