Requirements / Qualification:

  • Minimum 2 years as a Sous Chef or Jr.Sous Chef in a Fine Dining restaurant of a 5 * hotels/resorts

Key duties / Responsibilities :

  • Assistant HOD level position in kitchen, reporting to the Executive Chef 
  • Overall responsible for the kitchen operation of the section
  • Ensuring day to day productivity of all kitchen employees and the full completion of rostered shifts
  • Planning, allocating and evaluating work carried out by team members and self
  • Identifying the training needs and direct responsibility for the development and training of the kitchen team members, and attending training programs for own professional development as requested.
  • Minimize staff overtime, working within the parameters of the overtime budget.
  • Plan, implement, monitor and improve safe, hygienic operations for Resort guests and employees at all times
  • Investigate all kitchen accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence, following consultation with employees and the Occupational Health & Safety Committee
