Chalet Chef - European Ski Season
Chalet Chef to cook for a number of HNWI clients in Austria - Dec 2016 to Apr 2017.
Fine Dining Cuisine is provided by the client and they need a suitable Chef to execute the dishes as well as be able to cater for all types of dietary, religious and specialist requirements to their discerning clients.
The client is looking for Chefs from a fine dining, award winning restaurant, either stand-alone or within a high quality hotel. They would also consider chefs from a luxury private yacht operation, which would be their preferred choice.
Salary is up to £1200 a month dependent on experience.
To help run an efficient and cost effective chalet, ensuring excellent quality food and service for all guests. Coupled with a smooth and efficient operation in resort, providing a comprehensive resort service to guests, with exceptionally high standards ensuring customer satisfaction at all times. To run and manage a cost efficient kitchen.
Minimum age of 23 years
UK or EU passport
NI number and bank account
Relevant qualifications and/or professional experience
Full clean driving license (ideal not essential)
Good level of English and if possible - French and/or German
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Weekly menu planning for:
Breakfast, to include: continental buffet style and healthy cooked breakfasts;
Afternoon tea, of homemade cakes/biscuits, sweet or savoury
Canapés, at least 2 variations each evening
A 4 course evening meal, ensuring food is creative, balanced and well presented
Preparation and assistance with service of breakfast and afternoon tea and evening dinner
Ordering of or shopping for all food items from nominated suppliers and checking that any goods delivered to the chalet are as ordered and correct in quantity Ensuring maximum use of all food stocks and limiting wastage through stock takes and creative menu planning Maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area, paying particular attention to health and hygiene standards Management of the chalet kitchen to budgets set for food and cleanliness to HACCP requirements
Complete all financial and non-financial paperwork accurately and on time when required
Ensure the safe handling of monies taken on behalf of our client Travel Ltd (should this be required)
Socializing with chalet guests, creating an ambience in the chalet where the guests feel welcome and relaxed at all times
Acquire a thorough knowledge of the resort including local facilities, evening entertainment and ski information
Present a positive image of our client Travel at all times
Assist other members of your team as and when necessary to create a strong team working environment
To carry out any other work deemed necessary to aid in the provision of an excellent guest holiday experience
Travel from the UK to Resort and return to UK subject to completion of the season.
Comprehensive staff insurance throughout the season.(medical/ski injury and personal belongings) - employees are responsible for their own claim and excess payment
Accommodation in staff room, possibility of a shared room
Ski/boot or board/boot hire for the season
GROSS wage as agreed shown in euros, with "approximate" NET wage in sterling direct to bank account
Start date to be confirmed, approximately 1st December 2016
Employees are expected to be available from 1st December 2016 and to attend an in resort training course
End date is subject to bookings, anticipate end of April 2017. (this is subject to change)
