The Role:

We are looking for an individual with a culinary background looking to work in retail sales management with this prestigious homeware brand.

You will build sales and establish customer relationships by instructing cooking/technique classes, demonstrations and in-store events as part of Williams-Sonoma's Culinary Program. You will coach and advise the store staff on how to deliver in-store culinary programs and activities that achieve sales and profitability goals. You will work with the Sales Manager to train associates on how to introduce, demonstrate and sell new products.

You will work with a variety of different departments to maintain the effective operation of the store and will provide feedback to the store, brand and area managers around staff and products. You may also be required to deputise for the Sales Manager during periods of leave.

Qualifications & Requirements:

You will have:

  • A formal training or degree in Culinary Arts, or equivalent job experience
  • 2 + years management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Williams-Sonoma products
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to be active on the sales floor for extended periods of time
  • Availability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move medium to large items, up to 50 lb., while utilising appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
