As a result of continuous growth and development, we have a unique opportunity for a passionate Commis III Chef to join our team of culinary professionals!
The successful Commis III Chef will be assigned to the tasks in accordance to the standard operating procedures as implemented by the Executive Chef. You must ensure that proper hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen are followed and adequate stocks of food supply are in order at all times.
The following duties will also be undertaken in the role;
- To ensure that the quality levels of kitchen production and presentation is maintained at its highest level at all times
- Ensures that all mise-en place is correctly prepared prior to the commencement of service
- To demonstrate excellent product knowledge of all food and special functions held at the resort
- To ensure labeling of dates are labels on products according to requirements
- To be involved in the coordination of special functions and events with the respective outlet chef
- To maintain the highest level of personal hygiene and grooming at all times, as per the standard
- Show interest in displaying creativity in food displays with the Chef De Cuisine
- Assist in the kitchen whenever required – taking directions from the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef
The successful candidate must also possess the following to be considered;
- Passion for working in the kitchen
- Ability to handle pressure
- Basic understanding of culinary
- Strong understanding of hygiene
- Strong organizational skills
