About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Team Leader to join the Cluster Buggy team at the Madinat Jumeirah Resort. The main purpose of this role is to supervise the daily Buggy operation of Buggy Drivers ensuring that the highest possible service is being delivered in a friendly and professional manner aiming to exceed guest’s expectations. Providing hands-on support including driving of buggies as required.

Your main duties includes the following:

       
    • Ensure all the Drivers are properly allocated for guest movements.

    • Set an example for all Drivers in regards to punctuality, grooming, courtesy, attitude, team work and following of policies & procedures.

    • Function as a liaison between the Drivers and the Assistant Manager, offering feedback and communicating both ways.

    • Ensure a prompt buggy service for all our guests.

    • Ensure the professional radio communication is maintained by all colleagues and report any incidents to the Assistant Manager.

    • Ensure all requests are completed in a timely manner and in the case of pending requests, ensure they are completed with urgency and priority.

    • Prepare the duty roster for Buggy Drivers and pass it to the Assistant Manager for approval.

    • Maintain accurate tracking of lieu hours/days, public holidays of Buggy Drivers.

    • Complete a check list for each buggy every day and report any damage to the Assistant Concierge Manager immediately.

    • Ensure all colleagues receive 18 hours training per Quarter and ensuring accurate training records are kept and training summaries are sent to training at the end of each month.

    • Ensure that all Drivers report to duty on time and are well groomed and that they carry their buggy license and radio headset with them at all times whilst on duty.

    • Schedule the meal breaks for all Drivers ensuring that the operation runs smoothly at all times.

    • Ensure that all buggies are maintained well, serviced regularly, kept clean at all times.

    • To provide guests assistance with luggage, baby strollers etc. when required.

    • To perform tasks given by the management to assist the department in jobs that might be beyond the parameter of your daily job responsibilities.

About you

In order to be considered for this role you will have at least one year of working experience in a similar role in a luxury five star hotel environment.

You will have excellent written and spoken English. Your experience in handling guest requests, and exceeding their expectations would be regarded as essential. 

Should be able to quickly learn and adapt to a new work environment.
