The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) properties in Dubai Festival City consist of three hotel brands and a golf course. At the moment we are looking for a Assistant Manager to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate Front Office team at InterContinental Hotel Dubai Festival City

The primary responsibility of this role is to structure / align the Front Office Department policies and procedures to deliver Great Hotels Guests Love and create the right environment in which our colleagues can experience our Winning Ways and IHG Commitment.  Under the direction of the Front Office Director, and in full support and alignment with direct reports of Reception Managers, the Guest Services Manager is responsible for managing a team of 50 colleagues in order to deliver the highest level of services to all guests.

Overseeing the Front Desk, Business Centre operations and Police Reporters, the Guest Services Manager must ensure that proactive action is taken to ensure the needs of all guests are met and that additional measures are taken to create lasting experiences.  Particular attention must be given to the implementation and delivery of the InterContinental brand standards and recognition VIP guests, Priority Club Members and Royal Ambassadors.  In the role of the Guest Services Manager, you will be required to work closely with the Guest Experience Manager and Chief Concierge to ensure synergies exist between sections and to ensure all Front Office operations run in an efficient and effective manner.

As a Manager, you are expected to demonstrate the following behaviors and key operational competencies consistently:

  • Takes steps to follow through, ensuring tasks are fully completed; independently checks to ensure accuracy and quality

  • Identifies opportunities to improve profitability of own area, implementation and maintenance of brand standards and standard operating procedures.


Preferred candidates will have minimum 2 years’
experience as Assistant Front Office Manager in larger operations (400+
inventory room hotel) or minimum 2 years’ experience as Front Office Manager in 400+ inventory room hotel; with associate’s degree in hospitality management
and / or relevant degree or certified accreditation.  You will be able to demonstrate working
knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and Opera system. InterContinental Brand experience preferred.

Ultimately, you will be able to demonstrate
excellent written and verbal communication in English.  Knowledge of Arabic language is
preferred.  You will be a self-starter
and you will be able to demonstrate understanding of the business and link the
business environment to IHG commitments; have a high level of drive for results
and ability to lead and motivate team members to achieve the results; will be
adaptable and flexible with the ability to build relationships in a
multi-cultural environment and gain trust and support of team members and
senior managers.  You will have
exceptional planning, organizing and delegating skills with attention to
detail.  You will have the ability to
exhibit strong decision making skills to deliver brand service standards
resulting in highest guest satisfaction. 
You will possess a high level of integrity to lead by example and gain
respect of peers and colleagues. Female candidates preferred but not required.
