The InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) properties in Dubai

the luxury brand InterContinental, the superior upscale Crowne Plaza, the
lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites and the 18 hole championship
Al Badia Golf Club.  In addition to over 1000 bedrooms, the four
properties boast a selection of high quality restaurants and bars, an
impressive 3,800 square meter Event Centre across two levels, the luxurious Spa

At the moment we are looking for an Events Service Manager to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate team at InterContinental
Hotels Dubai Festival City

Reporting to the Director of Banquet Operations - Events, the Events
Service Manager
will manage
the Event Operations to obtain maximum profit, guest satisfaction and
hotel profitability by managing the conference & banqueting function. 
You will ensure that all work is carried out in line with the hotel's

The Event Service Manager is responsible for the operation, management and overall performance of the Banqueting operations. As such he will be directly involved in the day to day running of these areas in connection with staffing, customer services and product quality.  Delegation of duties and responsibilities to his / her assistants is necessary to ensure the proper functioning of all phases of F&B service in the areas under his / her control.  He / She is to implement all standardized procedures, rules and regulations systematically to be in line with hotel standards and policies.  It should be noted that the Event Manager can be designated in charge of any area at any time and therefore must have a full and comprehensive working knowledge of all areas within the Food and Beverage Division.

Preferred candidate will have minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity / function
in an international five star hotel banquet operations environment.  Importantly, we are
looking for an F&B expert with passion and energy that can lead and develop
a great team and drive excellent service quality. Having an eye for detail and
creativity to look at things differently will be a key to developing the Food
and Beverage Experience. An outgoing personality is also very important. 

Extensive Experience in Lady's Functions and Wedding Events is required.

Ultimately, you will be able to demonstrate excellent written and
verbal communication in English. You will be a self-starter and you will be
able to demonstrate understanding of the business and link the business
environment to IHG commitments; have a high level of drive for results; will be
adaptable and flexible with the ability to build relationships in a
multi-cultural environment and gain trust and support of team members and
senior managers.  You will have
exceptional planning, organizing and delegating skills with attention to
detail.  You will have the ability to
handle guest requests and complaints and exhibit strong decision making skills
to deliver brand service standards resulting in highest guest
satisfaction.  You will possess a high
level of integrity to lead by example and gain respect of peers and colleagues.
