  At the moment we're looking for a Purchasing Supervisor
to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate Finance team, based at Holiday
Inn Bur Dubai - Embassy District

Centre positions the hotel as the ideal choice for Corporate & Leisure
markets.



 



As a Purchasing
Supervisor, you will support the Kitchen team in identifying and sourcing the
best meat products for the hotel Kitchen operations.  Specifically, you will be responsible for
performing the following tasks to the highest standards:



  • Participate in negotiations for
    service contracts

  • Identify and develop reliable
    sources of supply

  • Establish and maintain adequate
    records for procurement and issuance procedures

  • Analyze market and delivery systems
    in order to assess present and future material availability

  • Follow the HACCP policy of the
    hotel and ensure the Butchery operates most hygienically

  • Process Purchase Requests from the
    departments

  • Review Purchase Order claims and
    contracts for conformance to company policy

  • Participate in development of
    specifications of equipment, products or substitute materials

  • Prepare reports regarding marketing
    conditions and merchandise costs for the Finance & Business Support
    Manager, for preparation of forecasts/ budgets

  • Obtain competitive quotations and
    bids for items for the hotel

  • Assist in the physical stock
    checking as per the schedule

  • Maintain relevant Vendor List to be
    used for transactions for the key users of the hotel

  • Follow the IHG Purchasing Policy to
    comply to the IHG Code of Ethics


  • QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Drive for results, Excellent
    communication skills

  • Problem Solving and Decision making
    skills

  • Degree/ Diploma, preferably from a
    Hotel Management school

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a
    hotel Purchasing department.
