Job Description

 

Summary:

The role of the Sales and Marketing Manager - Dubai Marina Yacht Club, is to manage all sales & marketing for the Club, and to drive revenues and resources to achieve and exceed targets. To ensure that the Club is accurately and positively represented in the assigned market segment(s) and that the brand image, products and services are effectively communicated and maintained at all levels, generating the desired results both in bookings and revenue.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible to formulate, plan, and execute the marketing strategy for the Club, Food & Beverage outlets, and banqueting facilities.

  • Reporting to the General Manager, the Position also acts in close support to the club’s F&B Operations Manager and Head Chef to ensure that the club’s F&B promotions are marketed and promoted successfully through a variety of media and marketing techniques.

  • A primary responsibility of the Position is also for being the principle driver of Banqueting Sales, and ensuring that Banqueting Revenue targets are met and where possible exceeded.

  • The Position will also carry primary responsibility, together with the GM, for all Public Relations management for the club.

  • To act in full support wherever required in the establishment and execution of the club’s members event program.

  • Formulates and manages the Sales and Marketing budget for the Club

  • Produces implements and continuously refines the marketing plan for the club to ensure maximum revenue generation.

  • Ensures all advertisements and promotional material are accurate and in line with the Company’s policies and directives.

  • Assists with establishing and managing events at the club for both berth holders and private customers.

  • Manages the club’s website and social media pages, ensuring that all are regularly updated and timely and relevant material is posted

  • Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures (SOPs, etc.).

  • Effectively utilizes sales, resources and administrative/support staff in support of the club’s overall objectives.

  • Developing and executing a multi-prong marketing strategy that utilizes different media and marketing techniques to attract customers to the club.

  • Work closely with Director of Sales & Marketing Corporate on brainstorming problem solving, regional activities, monthly reports and marketing plans.

  • Understands revenue management functions and account profitability

  • Ability to interpret market data and apply to sales strategy.

  • Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.

  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels; effectively responds to and handles guest complaints.
