The York Marriott Hotel is currently recruiting a Chef De Partie who will assist in supplying the highest possible standard of food to our guests at all times in our Chase Bar & Grill.
Requirements
The ideal Chef de Partie will have
good attention to detail, the ability to work individually and as part of a team plus e
xperience and training in various food styles.
Strong Communication skills are essential for this role as are a p
ro-active and reliable nature. A
Formal qualification (NVQ Level 3) and industry experience is essential for the role of Chef de Partie.
Responsibilities
1.
Supplying the highest levels of customer care and service whether in the public eye or in the back of house areas.
2.
To ensure prompt arrival on duty at the beginning of each shift.
3.
To maintain standards set by the executive Chef for food preparation and presentation at all times.
4.
To ensure food temperature checks are carried out and documented as directed by company policy.
5.
To ensure mis-en-place is carried out prior to service and any orders made for mis-en-place are handed to the Head Chef/Sous Chef.
6.
To adhere to food hygiene regulations and cleaning schedules at all times.
7.
To undergo training as and when required.
8.
To check daily deliveries and record as directed by company policy.
9.
To ensure that all foods are labeled stored correctly in the dry stores and fridges as per hygiene regulations.
10.
To be fully aware of the Accident Reporting Procedure, Maintenance Fault Procedure and Fire Policy for your department.
11.
To understand how the health and safety policy affects your department and how it links in with the rest of the Hotel.
12.
Complete extra duties given by Head Chef, when the hotel is not busy
14. Carry out any other reasonable duties as may be requested from time to time within the scope of the job
