At the moment we're looking for a General Manager to lead the opening of our flagship property InterContinental Lagos located on Victoria Island. Scheduled to open at the end of 2012 this full-serviced InterContinental Hotel will compromise of 358 rooms catering for local and international travellers.
After the successful opening you will direct the overall operation of your hotel to maximize performance, profitability and return on investment. By creating a positive and productive work environment, you'll ensure superior guest experience and compliance with quality, service and operational standards. You'll report directly to the Regional General Manager and lead the Hotel Executive Committee Members and Department Heads.
Ideally you'll have a Bachelor's degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management (or equivalent), with at least two (2) years experience leading a hotel team in an upscale luxury brand environment along with a strong preopening track record. Ultimately, you have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, proficient skills for written and oral communication in English and a desire and the ability to travel and work in different countries.
