Jumeirah Creekside Hotel is a contemporary 5-star business hotel. Scheduled to open Autumn 2011, it features 292 guest rooms and 27 meeting rooms set on beautiful leafy grounds. The hotel is minutes from the Deira business district, world class shopping malls, flood-lit golf courses and Dubai International airport. The hotel is superbly located in a renowned sports and leisure complex featuring the Dubai tennis stadium, home to the ATP tennis championships. Set alongside is the ‘Irish Village' and ‘Century Village' which together offer 15 dining options that are casual and relaxed.
Main Duties:
- To carry out repairs and maintenance works as directed.
- To complete work orders, PPMs, CWAs as directed.
- To select correct materials from engineering stores.
- To organise work in a skilled and professional manner.
- To advise supervisor promptly of any problems.
- To ensure safe working conditions for yourself and your colleagues and
- report to senior colleagues any unsafe working conditions.
- To ensure that work areas are left in a safe and tidy condition.
- Read and understand basic drawings
- Work on own initiative without full supervision or direction.
- Request support and direction as needed.
- Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering Department
- policies, processes and procedures.
- All pre opening tasks and responsibilities as per pre opening plan but not limited to pre opening plan - if applicable.
- Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management team including assistance for large events or hotel functions.
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Higher Secondary School certificate
- Vocational certificate in requisite field of Engineering
- Qualified tradesman within discipline
- Minimum of 2years working experience in a similar capacity in a hospitality establishment
- Minimum of 2years working experience in a similar capacity in a hospitality establishment
- Computer literate
- Good Communication skills
- Good verbal and written English skills
- Knowledge of FLS
- Knowledge of high-rise building systems
- Knowledge of work order systems
- Must remain calm under pressure
