Associate Director of Sales - Group & Events

On behalf of our client, a five star hotel in London, we are looking for a target driven Associate Director of Sales.
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Director of Marketing the successful candidate is responsible for leading the Event Sales and Event Management Teams.

Main Duties:

• To manage the Event Sales and Event Management teams on a day to day basis, ensuring the distribution of work load between team members and taking the lead on larger, complex VIP leads / Groups / Events.

• Work hand in hand with the Marketing Manager – Strategy (Revenue Manager) to set group sell rates and DDR as well as set Terms and Conditions of contract. These are to be reviewed on an ongoing basis – quarterly.

• To prepare the weekly forecast for both Groups and Events as needed

• Ensure new leads to the hotel are correctly handed on to the pro-active sales team for follow up.

• Monitor and review all prospect, tentative and lost business on an ongoing basis.

• To attend the weekly Yield Meeting, providing a critique on business, booking pace and tentative / prospect / lost business.

• To manage internal relationships with key stakeholders – Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, Director of Rooms, Finance and Front Office to ensure the team can focus on selling and event management

• To assist the pro-active Sales Managers in co-hosting client entertainment and joining them on sales calls, to help building up a stronger client relationship where appropriate.

• To attend the weekly Sales & Marketing Meeting and share relevant Event Management information.

• To assist all the sales strategy, tactics, and action implementations, complying with the Smart Selling approaches, in order to create a strong and disciplined sales team, and to achieve the sales goal.
