Asian Chef

THE ROLE
* Reporting to the Sous Chef, the candidate must be able to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Japanese-Thai restaurant. He is responsible for efficient control, stocking, dispensing and security of all commodities.
* Replaces the Sous Chef during his absence
* Assists the Executive Chef in research and test of new products and dishes
* Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
* Very good knowledge of preparation of sushi and tapanyaki
* Good presentation skills
* Strong organization skills
REQUIREMENTS
* Previous 5 star hotel or resort experience or high end standard restaurant
* High school diploma or similar required.
* Excellent command of English language (both oral and written). Arabic and other additional languages are an advantage.
* Pre-opening experience is highly desirable
* Computer skills (MS Office, e-mail, MC)
