• Salary: From $60,000US++ TAX FREE negotiable on experience

• Reporting to: The Hotel Manager
• Interview: The journey will involve Skype interview, telephone interview, psychometric tests and face to face interview
• Preferably Required: A show reel of your skills, performance and pzazz which can be watched by our business partner to outline how fabulous you are
• Dubai Rules!: You are required to go through a process called ‘attestation’ to qualify for a work visa and also have a full medical

It’s simply out of this world! Famous all around the globe for it’s incredible facilities, this property and surrounds is gorgeous. It offers hundreds and hundreds of rooms with options to dine satisfying everyone’s taste-buds with a plethora of restaurants. The bars and clubs here will welcome the illuminate of the area and the beaches are swathed in tanned bodies. This resort would not look out of place in Las Vegas…it’s simply breath-taking.

The Fabulous Opportunity
Here is an overview of the position!
o Directs the overall entertainment function in the resort.
o Oversees the assignment of duties, responsibilities and workstations to employees. Observes and evaluates employees and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service is met. Approves personnel actions such as new hire requests and discharges, to ensure proper staffing. Provides final approval for overtime needs.
o Mentors, develops and provides on-the-job training to subordinates to strengthen their current performance and preparation for future advancement.
o Reviews financial transactions and monitors budget to ensure efficient operation, and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations. Constantly reviews current operating procedures for revenue-enhancement opportunities, through hotel and resort marketing efforts, upselling programs, and special promotions, etc. Reviews for final approval requisition estimates for gifts, prizes, product replacements, supplies, purchases, etc.
o Reviews audit comments, discusses with subordinate management, and implements audit recommendations.
o Oversees all entertainment presentations, activities and quality in all venues, including but not limited to dining rooms, specialty restaurants, bars, lounges, beaches etc. Observes preparation to ensure quality standards are met. Oversees the care and maintenance of all equipment, props, supplies, etc. Oversees all special events conducted at the resort requiring the entertainment staff.
o On a regular basis, meets with subordinate managers and staff, to review the requirements of the day’s entertainment schedule, international guest requirements and disseminates any other company related correspondence, notices, policies, procedures, etc. Reviews schedule to estimate time requirements to ensure speed and efficiency. Meets with function managers and/or staff to review guest comments to implement revisions and improvements.
o Oversees the preparation of the resort newsletter. Meets with staff to review changes and/or revisions required based on weather conditions, demographics, etc.
o Serves as master of ceremonies for shows and events presented by the Entertainment Director’s Division by taking part in skits, and / or simple dance routines if required and as needed.
o Confers with management to plan and integrate all departments and product offerings to enhance the guest experience through food, beverage, excursions, gift shops, etc.
o Investigates and resolves entertainment quality and service complaints in a timely fashion, and always with a view to exceeding the expectations of our guests.
o Attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required. Where appropriate, initiates meetings to address and resolve quality concerns and to continuously identify improvement opportunities.

You The Exceptional Professional
You will recently or currently have worked on-board a mega cruise liner as a Cruise Director or perhaps you are already an Entertainment Director within a fabulous large resort complex in a 4* and 5* arena. You will have experience of leading, motivating and enthusing a large team (over 30) to ensure they are actively offering the best possible service to the guests. Your vision for exceeding guest expectations will be fabulous and you will have years of experience of enhancing the vacation stay through effective management, protocol and dynamism. You will be exceptionally business focussed on revenue generation and be able to look at ways to further enhance the ‘spend per head’ of the guest whilst they are residing at your location. This will be shown very clearly in your CV / resume in addition to your clear responsibilities and achievements in each role too. Your CV document will also show web-links to the fabulous high quality functions you have worked within for ease of access to further understand your super background and experience. You will speak fluent English and additional languages will be a bonus too.
